Jane-Louise Lampard

Jane-Louise is Program leader for Environmental Health at UniSC teaching in the areas of ecosystem health, risk management and food safety. She has first class honours in Environmental Health and a combined science and business degree in public health and management.

Jane-Louise has an overarching interest in human health risk assessment for a diverse range of water sources and exposure scenarios with a particular interest in microbial hazards. She is a PhD student with the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities and is the Water Research Australia 2010 Nancy Millis PhD Fellow. Her PhD research explores human health risks for pathogens in stormwater and potential exposures during stormwater reuse.

In earlier research she has investigated: health risks associated with recreational and occupational exposure in urban and marine settings; and likely exposure to emerging chemical contaminants of concern during direct potable reuse of wastewater.

Jane-Louise adopts a holistic approach to understanding issues and likes working in multi-disciplinary teams. She works closely with industry partners from state and local government departments across Australia in both her teaching and research.
