Dr Greg Nash is the Discipline Leader of Enabling and Engagement Education and Program Leader of the Tertiary Preparation Pathway in the School of Education and Tertiary Access.
Greg’s research focuses on first year in higher education and tertiary access pathways. He has written textbooks, journal articles and presented at conferences on topics ranging from the stressors faced by contemporary university students to approaches to university assessment.
Greg is a domestic violence prevention advocate and engages in this work at the regional, state, and national levels. He has been a member of the Australian and Queensland White Ribbon committees and served as the Queensland Chairperson from 2018-2019. He is a founding member of the Sunshine Coast Make it Stop Domestic Violence Prevention committee and continues to work closely with Beyond DV in this important work.
Greg’s teaching career has seen him coordinate or teach more than 25 courses at the University of the Sunshine Coast including a decade of coordinating one of Australia’s largest face-to-face courses, COR109 communication and thought. During this period, he supervised a team of up to 50 teaching staff and introduced university study to more than 32,000 first year students.
