Definitions and general terms

Definitions

  • Eligible Program – means a postgraduate coursework program listed on the UniSC website under Eligible Programs.
  • Fee(s) – means the full tuition fee in relation to a course, without any discount or other support having been applied to that fee.
  • Course – means a course listed on the UniSC website as being a course to be completed within an Eligible Program.
  • UniSC graduate – means a person who has met the requirements for award of an academic qualification by UniSC and graduated with that award.
  • Domestic - means Australian citizens and permanent residents, New Zealand citizens and permanent humanitarian visa holders.
  • International – means a person who is not an Australian or New Zealand citizen and who does not have Australian Permanent Residency status.

General Terms

  1. UniSC may amend these terms at its discretion or withdraw the Scheme at any time without notice. Students who have already enrolled in an eligible program and paid for a course under the Scheme will continue to have the benefit of the Scheme for the duration of that eligible program, subject to these terms.
  2. Discounted fees under the Scheme are only available for the first enrolment in a course and will not apply to any future enrolment in the same or replacement course.
  3. An eligible program under the Scheme must be completed within the maximum time for completion of that eligible program as currently set out in the UniSC Enrolments and Graduation - Procedures.
  4. Any discount on course fees under the Scheme cannot be redeemed for cash or used in any other way than as a discount on course fees.
  5. UniSC will use best endeavours to maintain a current list of eligible programs on the UniSC website, however, does not warrant that the list is complete or accurate at any particular time, or that a particular eligible program will be offered each semester.
  6. The Scheme will operate under, and in terms of, the UniSC policy framework, including but not limited to the Enrolments and Graduation - Procedures, Student Fees and Charges – Governing Policy, and the Student Fees, Charges and Refunds – Procedures.
  7. To the extent permitted by law, UniSC is not liable for any loss (including indirect and consequential loss) or damage sustained in connection with the Scheme.
  8. UniSC may terminate the discount on course fees if the recipient a) does not enrol in a course in the proposed semester of commencement, b) has their enrolment cancelled or suspended for any reason, or c) exceeds the maximum time for completion of an eligible program.
