Graduate Certificate in Digital Design (Electronic Media)
Program OverviewThe Graduate Certificate in Digital Design (Electronic Media) offers an opportunity to gain a qualification that has relevance, currency and credibility in addition to providing digital media skills for use in a range of professional applications. The program is designed for Australian and New Zealand citizens, and Australian permanent residents, who have already completed an undergraduate degree or its equivalent and in an area different from digital design and multimedia. It is intended to provide studies in digital design equivalent to those available within the higher levels of a Bachelor degree. Entry RequirementsA student entering the Graduate Certificate in Digital Design (Electronic Media) requires an undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution in an area different from digital design and multimedia. Entry by non-graduates who have extensive relevant industry experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Applicants must demonstrate a level of computer literacy equivalent to that required for successful completion of ADN100 Introduction to Computer-Based Art and Design. For this purpose, TAFE introductory courses or equivalently accredited programs may be considered acceptable, or the student may demonstrate, to the Studies in Art and Design Coordinator, equivalent skill through the presentation of a suitable portfolio or example of work.
