Description

This course presents an overview of the principles of microbiology and provides an insight life processes in all microbial life forms. It is designed to taech fundamental theory and skills required for an understanding of microbial isolation, growth, reproduction, physiology, metabolism and identifiaction. It also includes the study of the distribution of microorganisms in nature, their relationship to each other and to other living things, their beneficial and detrimental effects on human beings, and the physical and chemical changes they make in their environment.
