Creative Writing A: Structuring Narrative

Description
This course introduces basic skills required to be a creative writer. While focusing on the short story, narrative techniques, character motivation, plot, themes, setting and basic editing are taught, as well as writing for particular audiences. Students are required to keep a journal of ideas and sources. This course is taught in a lecture and an interactive format which encourages expression of ideas.
